A crucial Women's Euro Championship Qualifier will take place at Llanelli's Parc y Scarlets on Saturday 15th September between Wales and Scotland - with both sides looking for a play-off spot.
The Group 4 clash will be a real 'Celtic' clash. The group has already been won by France, but the second placed team will go into the play-offs looking for a chance to get to the finals in Sweden in the summer of 2013.
Jarmo Matikainen's Wales squad has had an outstanding qualifying tournament, with victories over the Republic of Ireland, Israel (twice) and an away draw in Scotland. The Scots have also had a good tournament and have an additional game after the match with Wales to secure the second spot, but it sees them come up against the French who have been in rampant form throughout the qualifying games.
The Wales qualifying games have taken place all over the country - Newport, Llanelli and Wrexham, but this will be a welcome return to Parc y Scarlets, where the team played so well against France back in October 2011.
These are exciting times for Women's Football in Wales as they host the finals of the UEFA Women's Under-19 tournament in West Wales in August 2013. In addition, many of the current crop of senior women's players are featuring in the FA WSL.
Manager Jarmo Matikainen said: "This is what we have been working hard for over the campaign - to be in contention for a qualifying spot. I am confident that our squad will do themselves - and the country - proud."
Kick off time will be announced soon.
