Kettering Futsal Ladies are delighted to have had their Football Legacy Fund (FLF) application accepted by The FA National Youth Council.
This is one of seven regional projects to be accepted nationally as part of the inaugural launch of The Football Legacy Fund.
The FLF aims to support young people aged 16-24 to deliver football projects run by young people for young people to generate more playing and volunteering opportunities in football through a small grants and project support scheme. The FA Youth Council have created this funding initiative to support the development of young volunteers in gaining authentic experience in leading and taking ownership of a football project with a legacy to grow or sustain participation in their clubs, school, college, university or community.
The FA Youth Council strongly believe in the empowerment of young people and are very much looking forward to supporting Kettering Futsal Ladies in the planning and delivery of their innovative FLF project.
Kettering Futsal Ladies will now be able to bring futsal to girls between the age 16-24 in the Kettering area with the financial support of the Football Legacy Fund and guidance of The FA Youth Council team. Following delivery of their FLF project over the summer, Kettering Futsal Ladies then plan to build on their success to compete in national futsal league and help raise the profile of futsal in England.
