Duo return to Watford
 Women's Football News 30 Jul 2012

Duo return to Watford - 30 Jul 2012 - Women's Football NewsWatford are delighted to announce the double signing of former players Emma Beckett and Josie Green as they return for their second spells with the club.

Welsh international midfielder Josie returns after a year away at Manchester City, where she helped the club achieve promotion to the National Division for the first time in their history.

The teenager, who was this week called up by the Wales senior squad for their friendly against Belgium in August, was delighted to return to the Hornets and commented on the atmosphere and spirit in the squad when she spoke to www.watfordladiesfc.com. "I think the club has changed a lot since the last time I was here," she said.

"There is a very good atmosphere and team spirit amongst all the players and staff, and they are all working hard towards the start of the season.

"I'm really looking forward to getting on the pitch and playing, and hopefully getting some good results and performances this season."

Emma, a former member of Watford's Centre of Excellence, returns to the club from fellow National Premier League side Charlton Athletic. Having played against Watford last year, they are pleased that she will be with them rather than against them for the upcoming season, and Emma was just as pleased to be back.

"I think Watford have a team cohesion which, in this league, is rivalled by few and this is a big development since being at the club previously," she commented.

"The club seems to be more professional, yet still offers a great atmosphere throughout. Everyone contributes positively in training and works together, which ultimately is down to the infectious attitude of the staff and girls.

"I experienced some great times with Watford and hope to add to those times this season and in the future."
