Cardiff Met Ladies' UEFA Women's Champions League group matches culminated in a 4-0 defeat to Peamount Utd in their final match in Sarajevo.
Earlier results in the group meant that neither side could qualify for the knockout phase but Peamount still started the match very strongly and went two goals up inside the opening nine minutes, Stephanie Roche giving them the lead before Denise O'Sullivan added the second.
Cardiff Met rallied after the early setbacks and did not concede any further goals before the interval but found themselves three goals behind within three minutes of the restart through Sara Lawlor. Roche completed her double just before the hour mark to round off the scoring.
Peamount therefore finish in second place in the table, one point behind group winners WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo who are through to the last 32.
