Henson Projects Scottish Cup holders Glasgow City progressed to the quarter finals this time around with a 3-0 victory away to Aberdeen.
Ruesha Littlejohn marked her return to the club by giving City a first half lead and they went on to secure the win with further strikes from Jennifer Callaghan and Emma Fernon.
Celtic meanwhile emerged as 5-2 victors over Spartans, but only after the tie of the round had gone to extra time. Hayley Sinclair netted twice for Celtic along with Rhonda Jones, Megan Sneddon and Suzanne Grant while Spartans replied through Sarah Ewens and Trisha McLaughlin.
Last year's beaten finalists Hibernian are safely through after winning 3-0 away to Celtic Res and they have been joined in the last eight by their reserves, who defeated Hibernian 1875 by the only goal of the game.
The other all-SWPL tie went the way of Rangers, who beat Inverness City 2-0 thanks to goals from Lisa Swanson and Kathy Hill.
Forfar Farmington meanwhile swept into the quarter finals with a 3-0 victory over Airdrie. All of the goals came in the first half, Lucy Graham giving them the lead before Emma McCulley and Caroline Heron joined her on the scoresheet.
Carolina Richardson bagged a hat-trick as Hamilton Academicals notched up the biggest win of the day, 9-1 away to Stonehaven. Cheryl McCulloch, Jacqui Seagrave and Helen Templeton each contributed a brace to complete the scoring.
The other remaining team from outside the Premier League (along with Hibernian Res) are Queen's Park, who defeated Cowdenbeath 7-3. Mhairi Lyle hit a hat-trick to lead the scoring and there was one apiece from McGuiness, Montoya, Simpson and Bisland.
