Lionesses set early pace
 Women's Football News 27 Aug 2012
Millwall Lionesses are the only team still with maximum points in the Southern Division following their 3-1 victory away to Tottenham Hotspur.
Emma Whitter kept up her good start to the season by netting a goal in each half and Abigail Igbavboia was also on target, with Chloe Burr grabbing a consolation for the home side.
Gillingham and Yeovil Town follow on in the table after the sides battled out a 1-1 draw. Kallie Balfour was on target for the Gills, with Yeovil replying through Jodi Cornwall.
West Ham Utd bounced back from their opening day defeat to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0. Lindsey Morgan put the Hammers ahead after five minutes and Becky Merritt notched the second just ahead of half time.
Lewes registered their first ever Premier League points with a fine 3-2 victory against Reading FC Women. Stacey Wiggins gave Reading a 12th minute lead but Lewes were ahead by the half hour mark, thanks to a brace from Naomi Cole. Stacie Donnelly levelled the scores midway through the second half before Charlotte Bennett scored the winner for the Rooks with twenty minutes remaining.
Colchester Utd and Queen's Park Rangers each picked up their first point of the new campaign as they shared a 1-1 draw.
