Glasgow City are effectively one win away from retaining the Scottish Women's Premier League title following their 5-0 victory over Spartans.
Ruesha Littlejohn sent City into an early lead, before Jane Ross netted either side of half time. Jennifer Callaghan and Christie Murray rounded off the scoring to keep their side twelve points clear at the top of the table, with five matches left to play.
Hibernian now have the advantage in the battle for the runners-up spot after they defeated rivals Celtic 2-0. A brace of goals from Susan Fairlie returned the Hibees into second place with a three point advantage over their opponents.
Forfar Farmington are a further point behind in fourth place as they won 1-0 against Aberdeen. However they needed to be at their most patient to break down dogged Dons resistance with Nicola Davidson twice hitting the bar and Lucy Graham striking the post, whilst Rachael Small also went close. The breakthrough came sixteen minutes from time, Abbi Grant finding the net after Aimee Godfrey's initial shot had come back off the post.
In the bottom section of the table, Hamilton Academicals stay at the head despite their game at FC Kilmarnock being postponed.
Hutchison Vale are now level on points with the Accies, climbing above Rangers by beating them 3-1. Kate Sheppard, Kat Smart and Laura Gavin were all on target for Hutchie, with Rangers replying through Rachel Hallarty.
Falkirk meanwhile put an eight point gap between themselves and the bottom two after a Cheryl Watt double and Emma Lyons earned them a 3-0 victory away to Inverness City.
