Scotland Under-19s were defeated 4-1 in the first match of a double header of friendlies against France on Friday evening.
As preparations ramp up for the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualifiers next month, the home side gained revenge for a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Shelley Kerr's side in March.
It was all square at the break, but France struck three times in the second half to seal the win. Faustina Robert grabbed the opener as an evenly matched first half drew to a close, but Caroline Weir quickly equalised for Scotland.
France stepped up a gear in the second half and scored twice within eight minutes. Juliette Loumagne struck on 47 minutes, and Clarisse Le Bihan then made it 3-1. Loumagne got her second in the final minute to put the result beyond doubt.
The two sides meet again in St Avold on Sunday.
Scotland travel to Turkey in October to take on the hosts, Belarus and Norway in the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship first qualifying round.
