Sunday 23 September sees the FA Girls' Football Festival come to Hartsholme Country Park, Skellingthorpe Road, from 11am-2pm.
The Festival will be attended by Sophie Bradley and Jess Clarke, Team GB, England and FA Women's Super League (FA WSL) players from Lincoln Ladies.
The stars of the league will be making an appearance prior to their last home match of the FA WSL season. Lincoln Ladies host Everton at Ashby Avenue, Lincoln, and kick off is at 2.00pm. All the girls taking part in the Festival will be offered a free ticket for the game.
To add to the excitement of the occasion, the FA have organised a fun packed day of football related activities for girls aged 5-17. They are invited to take part in the FA Girls' Football Festival, incorporating football, lifestyle and music.
Supported by Continental Tyres, Sport England and UEFA, the Festival is a free programme aimed at encouraging girls to participate in football. The initiative has already visited 21 venues throughout England in 2012 providing hundreds of girls with an exciting, interactive football experience. Activities include interactive games and competitions, the ContiWarmUp programme, skills and drills with FA approved coaches, hair braiders, face painters, prizes and goodies as well as digital stations to entertain the girls during breaks from play.
