The London FA is pleased to announce that they will be running a series of football festivals for girls during the 2012-2013 season.
In partnership with Charter Standard clubs and Local Authorities the festivals will run for Under-9, Under-11 and Under-13 girls. Due to the success of the three festivals that were run last season, it was felt that there was a demand to run a similar series of festivals again. The festivals are for any organisation to enter such as schools, clubs and even individuals who may be looking to find a team.
For this season, the Under-9s will run in a 4v4 format, which allows groups of friends to enter a team, or any new team or school team who may only have the numbers for 4v4. The Under-11 and Under-13 age groups will run as 7v7 festivals.
Details of the festivals are listed below:
All festivals will take place on Saturdays and run from 10am - 12noon. There will be a small entry fee of £15 per festival.
6th OCTOBER - in partnership with Long Lane Girls FC, Greenwich
10th NOVEMBER - in partnership with Petts Wood JFC, Bishop Justus School, Bromley
23rd MARCH - in partnership with Dalmain Athletic Girls FC, Lewisham
27th APRIL - in partnership with Foots Cray Lions JFC, Hall Place, Bexley
25th MAY - in partnership with London FA, London Marathon Playing Fields, Greenwich
As an incentive for teams to attend as many festivals as possible there will be raffle tickets handed out to each team when they attend. On the last festival there will be a prize draw taking place, so the more festivals you attend the more chance you have of winning.
