Title holders hit the front
 Women's Football News 24 Sep 2012
Cardiff Met Ladies have taken up the early pace in the Welsh Premier Women's League with a 5-0 victory away to Caernarfon Town.
Dana Hinton, Emily Allen and Emily Brown ensured that the reigning Champions were three goals ahead by half time, before Hinton and Brown each netted a second in the last ten minutes.
Llanidloes are the other team on six points after they came from behind to beat Newcastle Emlyn 3-2. Kate Thomas gave Llanidloes a third minute lead and the home side hit to back to go in front through Stacey Webber and Marie Tulley. Thomas levelled matters again on the stroke of half time and Steph Hugheson grabbed the winner for Llanidloes, four minutes from time.
Port Talbot Town had an extraordinary day in front of goal, netting eighteen times past Caerphilly Castle. Courteney Thomas, Gaby Pughsley and Alex Thomas each netted four times and Sian Scannell contributed a hat-trick with Jessica Curran (2) and Gemma Evans rounding off the scoring.
Swansea City bounced back from defeat last week to win 5-2 against Aberystwyth Town. Lindsey Morgan netted twice in the opening 13 minutes and a Sam Lumb own goal made it three just before the interval. Sarah Adams bagged a brace for the Swans during the second half, before Gemma Kay and Ffiona Evans reduced the arrears for Aber late on.
Llandudno Junction meanwhile picked up their first win, 3-0 away to Northop Hall. Holly Farr gave them the lead just after the half hour and Sarah Lawson added a second shortly afterwards, with Farr completing her double ten minutes into the second half.
