Millwall Lionesses power on at the top of the Southern Division and remain five points clear following their 2-0 victory over Queen's Park Rangers.
Emma Whitter continued her impressive form in front of goal by netting both goals for the league leaders, taking her tally for the season so far to seven in five games.
Brighton & Hove Albion continue to head the chasing teams after they won 2-1 away to Yeovil Town. Kim Stenning gave the Seagulls a first half lead from the penalty spot which was doubled midway through the second half by Faye Rabson, before a superbly struck goal from Kayleigh Sage gave the home side late hope.
Reading FC Women, who have a game in hand, follow on in third as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-1. Francesca Kirby put them in front and Lois Roche netted twice after the break, with Tottenham's reply coming from Wendy Martin.
A fightback from West Ham Utd earned themselves a share of the spoils in their 2-2 draw with Gillingham, which keeps both teams just off the pace. The Gills raced into a two-goal lead, given to them in a three minute spell by Charlotte Gurr and Lauren Williams, with Becky Merritt pulling one back for the Hammers just before the break. Lindsey Morgan equalised midway through the second half to help keep her side in fourth.
Colchester Utd picked up their first victory of the season, 2-1 against Lewes to lift themselves out of the bottom two. The Sussex side took the lead ten minutes into the second half through Andreia Veiga but the U's hit back strongly, Megan Jiggins levelling the scores before Zoe Rushen grabbed the winning goal, seven minutes from time.
