Scotland girls eliminated
 Women's Football News 4 Oct 2012
Scotland have bowed out of the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship at the first qualifying round, after a 2-0 defeat to Denmark.

After a hard fought 3-2 defeat to Serbia in the opening game, and a 7-0 win over Macedonia earlier this week, Pauline Hamill's side needed a win against the Group Five leaders to be in with a chance of reaching the second round.

However, first half goals from Sarah Hansen and Mathilde Jessen saw Denmark top the group, with Scotland finishing in third place.

Scotland Under-17: Chloe Logan, Kayleigh McConnell, Georgie Rafferty, Emily McKerlie, Elizabeth Arnot, Lucy Graham (sub Haylie Crosbie 61mins), Megan Mason Gilchrist (sub Katey Turner 68mins), Zoe Ness, Carla Jackson, Corri Cairns, Hayley Sinclair (sub Clare Williamson 55mins). Subs not used: Lauren Dawson, Abigail Harrison, Lois Heuchan, Holly Napier.
