Glasgow City are set to retain the Scottish Women's Premier League title for the fifth year in a row after their 2-0 victory over Celtic on Sunday.
Rachel Corsie gave City an early lead when she headed home a Leanne Ross free kick but, with goalkeeper Gemma Fay in excellent form, Celtic hung on to keep themselves in the game until the dying minutes when Emma Mitchell secured the points with the second goal.
Forfar Farmington meanwhile hauled themselves back in the running for the runners-up spot by beating second placed Hibernian 1-0. The only goal of the game came midway through the first half when Abbi Grant scored from a Julia Scott corner and Farmington defended in determined fashion after the break to pick up three valuable points.
Spartans ended their losing run by running out 5-0 winners away to Aberdeen. Diana Barry and Lana Clelland each netted twice for the Edinburgh side, with Sarah Ewens also on the scoresheet.
The two teams leading the way in the bottom section met each other and the honours were shared as Hutchison Vale and Hamilton Academicals battled out a 3-3 draw. Jacqui Seagrave scored two and Carolina Richardson the other for the Accies who trailed 3-1 at one stage.
Rangers climbed back above Falkirk by defeating them 1-0. Cheryl Gallacher scored the only goal of the game to keep Rangers in with a chance of catching the two teams above them.
Inverness City picked up a vital 8-0 victory over FC Kilmarnock to keep their survival hopes alive. Lisa MacKenzie was on target twice for City whose other goals came from Natalie Bodium, Sarah Main, Lorraine Cadden, Lauren Docherty, Hannah Gordon and Kirsty Deans.
