City peg back Watford
 Women's Football News 21 Oct 2012
Watford's hopes of climbing into second place in the National Division were hit as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester City.
Sarah Wiltshire had given the Golden Girls a nineteenth minute lead but they were pegged back midway through the second half by an equaliser from Sarah Danby. Watford therefore stay in third place, one point behind Leeds, while City occupy a mid-table position.
Aston Villa gained revenge for their defeat at the hands of Coventry City in the Premier League Cup seven days earlier by winning their league clash 3-1. Helen Dermody had given the Sky Blues a first half lead but strikes from Beth Merrick, Sherry McCue and Natasha Merritt took Villa into the top four.
Portsmouth and Cardiff City Ladies remain level on points after the sides battled out a 3-3 draw. Two goals in a minute just before the interval from Kirsty McGee and Lauren Murphy had put Pompey in control but Nadia Lawrence and Paige Stewart, from the penalty spot, brought the South Wales side level. Portsmouth quickly went back in front through Charley Wilson and with five minutes remaining, Kayleigh Green salvaged a point for Cardiff.
