Sheffield FC continue to set the pace at the top of the Northern Division as they defeated Leicester City 2-1 to preserve their lead of two points. Leanne De Silva gave Sheffield the lead midway through the first half but after the break, City fought back and levelled the scores with a strike from Issy Hayes. However with three minutes remaining, substitute Lynn Goodman scored to give Sheffield their fifth straight win. Preston North End now head the chasing pack, moving up into second place with a 1-0 win away to Sporting Club Albion. Melissa Brown settled matters with the only goal of the game, fifteen minutes from time. Wolverhampton Wanderers are off the bottom after picking up a hard earned point from a 1-1 draw with fourth placed Nottingham Forest. Philippa Wilson headed in a Becky Hall free kick to give Wolves a sixteenth minute lead, with Forest hitting back to earn a share of the spoils when Natasha Meade equalised just before half time. However the result was overshadowed as Wolves midfielder Kelly Pinner was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle.
