Scotland's top women's football side, Glasgow City, who lifted the SWPL title for the sixth successive year on Sunday, have announced more good news for the club as it partners up with Stewart First Aid Training for the year ahead.
In the first partnership of its kind for both parties, Stewart First Aid training will become Glasgow City's official First Aid partner both at home and in the UEFA Women's Champions League, where City play against Europe's elite.
Commenting on the partnership, City Club Manager Laura Montgomery said: "This is fantastic news for our club. We have a number of excellent physio's and sport therapists working with our teams to ensure our elite players are fit to take to the field so we can continue to build on the success we have enjoyed over the past few years.
"This partnership ensures we now have the right company behind us, providing the necessary expert first aid provision, training and advice to our volunteer staff."
Joanna Dunbar, Managing Director of Stewart First Aid Training, added: "It's a hugely exciting opportunity for us to work in partnership with Glasgow City FC. They are a fantastic team with great energy and we are delighted to see them lift the SWPL trophy for the sixth year in a row.
"Stewart First Aid is committed to the promotion of all sports in Scotland, especially with the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow in 2014. Encouraging young women and developing them through sports, particularly football is something we are extremely passionate about and we look forward to a prosperous year ahead supporting the team with our expert training and supplies."
