Jessica Fishlock scooped the biggest prize at the FA Women's Football Awards when she was named as the FA Players' Player of the Year.
The Bristol Academy midfielder was presented with the award at the Hilton Waldorf Hotel in London after being voted for by her fellow players. The honour caps a remarkable few months for the 25-year-old as she won the FAW Women's Player of the Year for the second time last month and also took over the captaincy of her country. Jess is the second Welsh player to win the award after Jayne Ludlow, who won it three times.
Another player to have had a memorable year is Casey Stoney and this was rounded off by her winning the International Player of the Year award for the second time. The Lincoln Ladies defender became England captain during the year and also led Team GB during the London Olympics. Casey also passed the 100-cap mark for England along with Fara Williams and Rachel Unitt.
Alex Greenwood carried off the Young Player of the Year award and Bristol Academy manager Mark Sampson was named as Coach of the Year in the FA WSL. Birmingham City won the Club of the Year award and Goalkeeper of the Year went to Nicola Davies of Liverpool.
