Cardiff Metropolitan Ladies remain on top of the Welsh Premier Women's League despite going down to their first defeat of the season.
The university side were beaten 1-0 by Cardiff City FC, Emma Jones scoring the only goal of the game nine minutes into the second half. Cardiff Met still head Llanidloes on goal difference with Cardiff City heading a trio of clubs in third, three points off the pace.
Swansea City leapt up into fourth on the back of a 6-0 success away to Northop Hall. Hannah Leais gave the Swans an early lead with Lindsey Morgan netting a brace and Sarah Adams adding the fourth before half time. After the break, Kristey O'Donnell put Swansea further ahead and Chloe O'Connor completed the scoring with three minutes left.
Newcastle Emlyn are the third team on nine points but only after an astonishing second half fightback saw them to a 4-3 victory over Port Talbot Town. Coryn Sexton opened the scoring for Port Talbot midway through the first half and goals either side of half time by Jessie Wadey and Jessi Hare put them well in control. Sharon Llewellyn reduced the arrears for Newcastle Emlyn four minutes later and Caroline Cooper pulled another goal back just after the hour. Stacey Webber levelled the scores up again and a last minute strike from Carrie Slack gave Newcastle Emlyn what had seemed an unlikely win.
