Reserve Section League Cup
Chelsea are the first team to progress to the semi finals of the Reserve Section League Cup as they ran out 4-1 winners over Lincoln Ladies. After Martha Harris had fired the Lady Imps in front, Chelsea hit back with Karin Muya netting a double with further strikes from Hannah MacKenzie and Elizabeth Maddison (see match report). The other three quarter final ties all fell victim to the dreadful weather and are scheduled to take place this coming Sunday.
Midlands/North Division One
Nottingham Forest remain at the foot of the Midlands/North Division One table following their 2-1 defeat away to Liverpool. Alicia Hardacre and Lizzie Ince netted the goals for the Reds, who stay in fifth place.
Midlands/North Division Two
Sheffield FC moved into a challenging position in Midlands/North Division Two with a 5-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Lynn Goodman was on target twice along with Georgina Benjamin, Kerry Armstrong and Sarah Doyle to help Sheffield climb up to third place, one point behind the leaders.
Southern Division One
This division also saw one match beat the weather, West Ham Utd lifting themselves into second place as they edged out home side Cardiff City Ladies by the odd goal in seven. Emma Harrison (2), Amber Matthews and Danielle Cliffe scored the goals to take the Hammers to within a single point of table toppers Charlton Athletic whilst Cardiff replied through Sinead Melinn, Bethan Price and Annie Pritchard.
