Watford came from behind to win 2-1 away to Cardiff City Ladies and lift themselves into second place in the National Division.
Cardiff had led for much of the game through an early strike from Lauren Townsend but Sarah Wiltshire levelled the scores for Watford midway through the second half. With ten minutes left to play, Jo Wilson scored her sixth goal of the season to give Watford victory and stretch their unbeaten run to ten matches.
In the other game to survive the weather, Charlton Athletic also staged a comeback to pick up a crucial 2-1 victory at Manchester City which takes them out of the bottom two. A win would have taken City into second place and they looked to be on their way when Krystle Johnston gave them the lead after six minutes. Charlton drew level just before half time through Gemma Shepherd and seven minutes into the second half, Gemma Bryan struck the winner with an unstoppable shot from 25 yards.
