Parkwood Rangers v Colne Valley
 Women's Football News 8 Dec 2012
F.A.Women's Cup - Road to the Final
Colne Valley's superb Cup run continues for another round and for the third round in succession, they knocked out a Southern Region League side. Megan Hicks, Charmaine Benham and Lucy Uttley scored the goals to earn their team a First Round tie with Parkwood Rangers, which guarantees at least one County League club in the Second Round draw.
Based in Bexley, Kent, Parkwood Rangers Junior Football Club was founded in 1997 and was named after the road that a group of boys used to play in (Parkwood Road, Bexley). In 2002, current manager Harvey Goodhew and assistant manager Andy Morton set up an Under-10 girls team which had a successful junior football career. In 2009 the Club was awarded Standard Charter Women's Club of the Year and Community Standard Charter status by the London FA.
The Ladies team was set up in 2010 and they joined the South East League Kent Division, and became the first team ever to win the Kent Division title and Kent Divisional Cup in an inaugural season.
Although the team is only in their second season in the SECWFL Division One East, they have come a long way in a short space of time, and this season have secured sponsorship for new kit and, as a team and alongside their supporters, they have raised the funds to paint their changing rooms, purchase two dugouts and the roped perimeter fencing needed to host this Sunday's First Round tie at their own ground.
Harvey Goodhew continues to manage the team and coach Andy Morton was awarded the London FA Coach of the Year in 2011. The squad is captained by Corrie Goodhew who is the longest serving player (ten years with the club) and the leading goalscorer this campaign is Emily Vaughan with 14 goals already this season. They reached this stage of the competition with a superb 4-1 win over South East Combination side Crystal Palace, given to them by a goal apiece from Corrie Goodhew, Emily Vaughan, Krissy Howlett and Millie Main.
Parkwood Rangers host the tie between two teams who have captured a lot of the Cup headlines so far this season and one will be going into new territory after what should be a very closely contested tie on Sunday.
