With Cardiff Met Ladies' match against Northop Hall being postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, Cardiff City took the opportunity to replace them at the top of the Welsh Premier Women's League with a 3-0 victory over Newcastle Emlyn.
Rachel Rowe gave City the lead after eleven minutes but it wasn't until the dying minutes of the game that they sealed the points, Danielle Broadhurst netting the second goal and Amy Wathan adding a third in injury time.
Wrexham are keeping up the pressure on the top two and stepped up their challenge by winning 7-0 away to Caernarfon Town. After Katie Edwards had put them in front, Steph Taylor and Syd Hinchcliffe added further goals ahead of the break. Lindsey Rogers made it four shortly after the restart, before Hinchcliffe completed the tally and a four-goal haul for herself.
Port Talbot Town are up into fourth place but left it late to pick up a 3-0 victory at Aberystwyth Town. The game remained in the balance until the 76th minute when Coryn Sexton put Port Talbot in front and they went on to make the game safe thanks to Sian Scanell and Jesci Hare.
Swansea City scored six without reply against Llandudno Junction to get themselves back to winning ways. Courtney Harris netted a brace inside the opening fifteen minutes and Kirsty O'Donnell quickly added a third. Emma Jeffreys increased the Swans' lead midway through the second half and late goals from O'Donnell and Sarah Adams rounded off the win.
