Olympic hope to strike gold in Cup
 Women's Football News 3 Jan 2013
Radcliffe Olympic are set for one of the biggest days in the club's history when they make the long trip to play Premier League Newcastle United in the Second Round of the F.A.Women's Cup on Sunday.
The Midland Combination side have never progressed past the Second Round of the FA Cup and it is a game that everyone at the club is all looking forward to. The whole squad wants to be a part of what could be a very big day for the club, who currently sit in second place in the league table.
Radcliffe manager Sam Winch is confident that his side can overcome their Northern Division opponents and keep their cup run going. "We will be going there not only to knock Newcastle out the Cup but with the hope that my team continue enhancing their glowing reputation as a hardworking and talented group of ladies," he said.
Captain Sophie Turner added: "It is a great draw for us, we are looking forward to taking our good form up to Newcastle and hopefully get a result.
We know we have got the ability and desire, so we will go up there being the underdogs but we truly believe we can get a result."
