Bitton striker Amber Coates claimed one of the fastest hat-tricks in women's football history - maybe even a record - as her side defeated AEK Boco 8-3 in their Gloucestershire League Division One top of the table clash.
Bitton could not have asked for a better start to the local derby clash and in particular former Boco player Amber, who scored three times inside inside the opening four minutes.
Her first came when she steered in a Megan Bloomer cross shot and then almost immediately after she lobbed the keeper when one-on-one with a great finish. After some Bitton pressure, the 24-year-old completed her quickfire treble when she poked home from close range to leave Boco stunned.
To complete a crazy start to the match, Boco's top scorer Leanne Burge went on a mazy run past several players before being brought down by Bitton goalkeeper Chloe Gallagher and a penalty was awarded. Gallagher saved Lucy Dinham's spot kick but the Boco defender fired home the rebound for the fourth goal of the game in an incredible opening six minutes.
Ironically, Amber did not end up as Bitton's leading scorer in the match - strike partner Megan Bloomer went on to add four further goals and Laura Tugwell completed the scoring for her side, who now trail AEK Boco by two points and have two games in hand.
