Cardiff City Ladies booked their place in the quarter finals of the Premier League Cup with a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. 
The National Division side took the lead midway through the first half with a goal from Nadia Lawrence but the game remained in the balance until two minutes from time, when Ellie Isaac sewed up the win with the second.
Cardiff must now play away to Cup holders Sunderland in the last eight.
The other tie to be played produced late drama as form team Watford were sent out of the competition by former winners Charlton Athletic. The only goal of the game came in the final minute of extra time, Gemma Shepherd scoring with a well executed lob to earn the Addicks a quarter final trip to Leeds Utd (see match report).
