North West League
The solitary match to be played in the league on Sunday was in the Premier Division, where Preston North End lifted themselves off the bottom of the table and out of the bottom two with a 6-1 victory over fifth placed Wigan Athletic.
South West League
Cleeve West Town are out of the bottom two in the Premier Division following their 2-1 win against fourth placed Weymouth. Mollie Stevens netted both goals to give Cleeve three important points.
Swindon Supermarine extended their lead at the top of Eastern Division One to four points by running out 4-1 winners away to Keynsham Town Res. Alice Smith was on target twice for the Wiltshire side along with Sally Butterfield and Hayley Huckin. St Nicholas are up into second after they notched up a fine 8-2 success at Poole Town. Becky Rexworthy spearheaded the win with a four-goal haul and Amy Jefferies weighed in with a hat-trick, Charlotte Davis rounding off the scoring.
The only match which took place in Western Division One ended in a 1-1 draw between Dobwalls and Callington Town. Ellie Simpson was on target for Dobwalls, with Callington replying through Kate Bourn.
