After several weeks of waiting, Sheffield Utd Community finally get the chance to play their F.A.Women's Cup Third Round tie against Nottingham Forest this week.
Forest won their much delayed Second Round game against Bradford City and the last remaining Regional League club left in the competition are looking forward to taking on the Premier League side.
"This is the highest placed team we have ever played in any competition and just to reach this round of the FA Cup for the first time is a great tribute to the development of young talent blended with some experienced players," says club secretary Tony Santoro. "We are a progressing club and our captain Rachel Ruddach who has been at the club for ten years is looking forward to leading the side out against Nottingham Forest."
Rachel Ruddach said: "It will be one of my proudest moments, leading this team against a very good Nottingham Forest side on Sunday." Striker Christina Skull added: "It's going to be great to see how much more we need to do to get to their standard."
"We need to play to our maximum and hope that they have an off day and one never knows what might happen," said midfielder Deryn Ahmed whilst Lauren Santoro commented: "It's just unbelievable, dreams come true."
