Midlands/North Division One
Manchester City's tenure at the top turned out to be a brief one as Everton regained the leadership on Sunday with a 3-0 win away to Sunderland. A win would also have meant Blackburn Rovers being level on points with the top two but instead they went down to a 1-0 defeat away to Coventry City, who scored a late winner through Natalie Reay.
Southern Division Two
Watford strengthened their position as leaders, going three points clear by beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-1. Jodie Whitford-Stark and Katie Knell put the Golden Girls two ahead at the break and a second half brace from Zoe Teasdale sealed the points, Chanel Richards scoring Spurs' consolation.
