Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart welcomed England international players Jill Scott and Sophie Bradley to New York Stadium to announce tickets going on sale for the much awaited friendly against Canada on Sunday 7 April (kick off 3pm).
Millers Chairman Tony Stewart said: "We are delighted to welcome England internationals here today, as we officially launch tickets going on sale, to what promises to be a terrific game.
We feel privileged that the Football Association has granted Rotherham United the opportunity to host this international fixture against Canada. It is a fantastic opportunity to use New York Stadium as a setting to showcase the best of women's football."
Following the ticket announcement, the two international stars hot footed it over to local schools Ferham Primary School and Thornhill Primary School. The England players made a big impact on the youngsters, by taking part in a coaching clinic and joining a school assembly for a question and answer session.
England star Jill Scott said: "We are really excited to be playing an International match at New York Stadium for the first time. It's been great to come up to the stadium today, as well as meet some of the local school kids.
"Facing Canada is a really important warm up match as we prepare for the Euros and we are hoping that the fans in and around Rotherham will really get behind us."
Prior to seeing the two teams in action, fans are invited to take part in FREE, fun football based interactive games, brought by Continental Tyres. Games include batak boards, a speed cage, a target shoot inflatable plus a new trailer which will house trophies and digital stations. To add to the enhanced fan experience, there will also be hair braiding and face painting, all of which will take place outside the stadium from 1.30pm.
Tickets are available via ticket hotline 08444 140737, at the Red and White Shop and online at www.rotherhamunitedshop.co.uk.
