![]() Sunderland stay two points clear at the top of the table with a 3-2 win over Coventry City but they were pushed all the way by the Sky Blues before sealing the points with a last gasp winner. An own goal by Ruth Sutcliffe had given Coventry an early lead but a Rachel Furness penalty had drawn the sides level by half time. Sophie Williams gave Sunderland the lead just after the restart and a fine goalkeeping display from Sue Wood helped keep Coventry in the game before they equalised through an angled shot by Nicole Dale. Deep into injury time, Sunderland claimed a crucial win when Furness scored her second goal through a spectacular dipping shot. Watford made sure of staying hard on Sunderland's heels in second place by beating Aston Villa 4-0. Sarah Wiltshire put them ahead from the penalty spot midway through the first half and the Welsh international turned provider for the second, Jo Wilson firing home. Wiltshire made it three a minute later from a free kick and she completed her hat-trick with fifteen minutes left from another free kick, this time from long range. Leeds Utd also remain well in the running after they defeated Charlton Athletic 2-0. Carey Huegett opened the scoring on 28 minutes with her sixth goal of the season and Rachel Lee wrapped up the win with the second goal, midway through the second half.
