Supporters of Oxford United are preparing to show their passion for women's football on Sunday when Oxford United Ladies welcome FA WSL side Everton to the Kassam Stadium in the fifth round of the FA Women's Cup.
Oxford, of the South West Combination, are looking to pull off another unlikely giant-killing after knocking out Charlton Athletic and Newcastle United in previous rounds, the latter in front of more than 700 supporters at the Kassam Stadium.
Their success has inspired supporters to launch the Ultimate Support Ladies Day initiative, aiming to attract a crowd of more than 1,000 to cheer Oxford on to victory.
Oxford are one of 33 clubs applying for a place in the expanded FA WSL 2014 and the organisers of the fans-led initiative believe that another good crowd and a great atmosphere will demonstrate Oxford's potential and the level of interest in the women's game in Oxfordshire.
Joe Nicholls, organiser of previous successful Ultimate Support Saturday and Ultimate Support Away Day events said: "The purpose of Ultimate Support Ladies Day is to get behind Oxford United Ladies because of what they have achieved, and to show we are proud of them.
"We want to help get a big crowd, and create a noisy and colourful atmosphere. It's about enjoying the day, and helping get new fans interested in women's football, and to get behind Oxford United Ladies in the big game."
Tickets for the match are on sale now at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
