Midlands/North Division One
Everton are just a single point away from a hat-trick of titles after they ran out 4-1 winners over Nottingham Forest. In the other game, Karen Clough scored twice and Cheryl Edwards added the other as Coventry City won 3-1 against Leicester City, who replied through an own goal.
Midlands/North Division Two
Doncaster Rovers Belles moved themselves to within one victory of the crown as they defeated Derby County 5-1. Leah Hardy and Katie Waddell each netted doubles with Shannon Brooks joining them on the scoresheet, Derby's consolation coming from Jenny Roddis. Lincoln Ladies are now favourites to take the runners-up following their 4-3 success away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, which ended the remaining hopes of the home side. Stacey Aisthorpe (2), Holly Crosby and Sophie Haywood netted the goals for the Lady Imps.
Southern Division One
Arsenal have returned to the top of the table after they won 3-1 against previous leaders Chelsea. Lauren Bruton scored either side of half time and Freda Ayisi the third to give the Gunners a huge boost in the title race although Charlton Athletic are still well in the hunt.
Southern Division Two
Watford extended their advantage to four points following their 2-0 success at Portsmouth. Amy Makewell gave the Golden Girls an early lead and Zoe Teasdale sealed the points in the second half. Tottenham Hotspur meanwhile came away from Queen's Park Rangers wuth a 2-1 victory under their belts.
