Reading keep up the chase
 Women's Football News 19 Mar 2013
The gap remains the same at the top of the Southern Division after both of the top two recorded victories on Sunday.
Millwall Lionesses maintained their lead of four points after a solitary strike from Ciara Sherwood gave them a 1-0 win away to third placed Brighton & Hove Albion (see match report).
Reading FC Women also picked up an important win on the road, 2-1 at Gillingham. Becky Jane grabbed both goals for the second placed Berkshire side with the Gills' consolation coming from Natalie Crinean.
West Ham Utd lost ground as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Colchester Utd. Becky Merritt was on target with a penalty for the Hammers, Colchester replying with a strike from Maegen Doyle.
The two teams occupying the bottom two positions in the table met each other and the honours were shared as Queen's Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur finished level at 2-2. Sarah Staples bagged a brace for Rangers, who remain one point adrift, with Spurs' goals coming from Robyn McEvoy and Sam Pittuck.
