Midlands/North Division Two
Only one match in the Premier League Reserve Section managed to survive the weather on Sunday but it conjured up plenty of action as Lincoln Ladies and Doncaster Rovers Belles battled out a thrilling 3-3 draw which takes the Belles to within a single point of the Midlands/North Division Two title.
However the Belles needed their full powers of recovery during the course of the match, having to come from behind on three occasions to secure a point.
Lincoln took the lead midway through the first half through Amy Kay with Leah Hardy levelling the scores nine minutes ahead of half time. After the break, Stacey Aisthorpe restored Lincoln's advantage with Katie Waddell cancelling it out again with twenty minutes remaining. Sophie Crosby put the Lady Imps ahead for a third time but, six minutes from time, Waddell netted her second to keep themselves on course and end Lincoln's last remaining hope of winning the league.
Only Leeds Utd can now prevent the Belles from clinching the title but a huge turnaround in goal difference would be needed and Doncaster still have two games in which to pick up the point they require.
