Southern Division leaders Millwall Lionesses saw their title challenge receive a setback as they were beaten 1-0 by Yeovil Town.
Grace Rapp scored the only goal of the game in the second half to keep her side in with a chance of a top three finish in their first season following promotion (see match report).
Reading FC Women took the opportunity to narrow the gap on Millwall to four points, with two games in hand, with a fine 2-1 win away to West Ham Utd, but it needed a late fightback to give the Royals a crucial victory. The Hammers had led for most of the game through a 28th minute strike from Kelley Blanchflower but Becky Jane levelled the scores with nine minutes left and then, deep into injury time, Cheryl Williams scored to give her side's title hopes a huge boost.
The other Southern Division match to be played ended with honours even as Gillingham and Colchester Utd battled out a goalless draw which keeps both teams in a secure mid-table position.
