Title winners Everton completed their league campaign with a 2-1 win away to third placed Blackburn Rovers, which means that they finish a comfortable six points clear at the top of the table. The other match played was between the two teams at the foot of the table, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest battling out a goalless draw.
Midlands/North Division Two
Likewise, Champions Doncaster Rovers Belles also enjoyed a winning end to their season, scoring seven without reply past Newcastle Utd. Katie Waddell bagged a hat-trick for the Belles and there was one apiece from Lucy Sowerby, Kirstie Nicholls, Nicola Emery and Brooke Smith. Lincoln Ladies will finish in second place after Leeds Utd were held to a 1-1 draw by Stoke City.
Southern Division One
Leaders Charlton Athletic remain one point clear at the top but their challenge received a setback when they were beaten 2-0 by Bristol Academy.
Southern Division Two
Brighton & Hove Albion's faint title hopes were brought to an end as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Millwall Lionesses, for whom Mary Onianwa netted both goals. In the other end, Portsmouth defeated Yeovil Town 2-1 thanks to Lysette Russell and an own goal.
