With Welsh Premier Women's League leaders Cardiff City FC having their match with Newcastle Emlyn postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, Cardiff Met Ladies took the opportunity to cut their advantage to six points with a 4-0 victory away to Northop Hall.
Emily Allen put them ahead after ten minutes but it wasn't until the second half that the students went on to seal the points. Chloe Tucker netted twice in a six minute spell and Hannah Billingham wrapped up the scoring with the fourth goal in injury time.
Wrexham cemented themselves in third place as they also won 4-0 against Caernarfon Town, who remain at the foot of the table. The damage was done in the first half with Lowri Edwards, Chloe Foster and Liv Hull putting Wrexham three up inside the opening 33 minutes, before Edwards completed her brace midway through the second half.
Port Talbot Town rounded off a trio of 4-0 victories on the day, at the expense of Aberystwyth Town whose recent good run of form came to a halt. Port Talbot never looked back after Lucy Olde and Jessica Curran both scored within twelve minutes and Coryn Sexton added a third just ahead of the half hour. Lauren Williams grabbed the final goal for Port Talbot on the hour mark, to help take her team up to fourth.
Swansea City left it late but they also moved up the table following their 1-0 success away to Llandudno Junction. Jodie Passmore settled matters in the Swans' favour with the only goal of the game, nine minutes from time.
