Bristol Academy won the FA Women's Premier League Reserve Section League Cup for the first time in their history with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the Final at Sutton United F.C.
A solitary first half strike proved to be the difference between the teams and handed Academy their first ever national trophy success.
The only goal of the game came in the 25th minute when Samantha Quayle scored from close range.
There was a moment of concern however as the game was held up for a long spell for an injury sustained by Bristol Academy's Lauren Haynes but play was able to continue and Academy held on for a historic win for their club.
