West Ham Utd's last remaining hopes of winning the Southern Division title were ended as Brighton & Hove Albion came from behind to beat them 3-2 at the Withdean Stadium.
The Seagulls took a first half lead through Lily Agg which was quickly cancelled out by Rebecca Merritt, before April Bowers made it 2-1 to the Hammers early after the interval. Brighton - who are still in the running for second place - equalised on the hour though leading scorer Kim Stenning and Cherelle Khassal settled matters with the winning goal, fourteen minutes from time.
Yeovil Town climbed back above West Ham and into fourth place by winning 3-1 away to Tottenham Hotspur. Laura Bray and Jodi Cornwall ensured that the Glovers were two ahead at the break and although captain Sam Pittuck reduced the arrears for Spurs, Bray scored her second goal to make the points safe for Yeovil.
Colchester Utd twice came from behind to earn themselves a 2-2 draw and deny Queen's Park Rangers a crucial win which would have taken them off the bottom of the table. Sarah Staples gave Rangers the lead just before half time with Karissa Rodney equalised three minutes after the restart. Kim Meadows restored QPR's advantage but Colchester hit back once again and Zoe Rushen scored to hand her side a point.
