Buchan Ladies' first ever appearance in the competition ended in a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Spartans, who moved a step closer to a second successive appearance in the Final. Spartans started strongly and took the lead in the ninth minute when a Sarah Ewens cut back went in off a Buchan defender and on the quarter hour, Alana Marshall crossed for in-form Katie Reilly to add a second. Vanessa Silcocks pulled a goal back for Buchan just before half time but the former Cup winners closed the game out after the break to seal their place in the last four.
