Cardiff City FC remain on course for the Welsh Premier Women's League title following their 2-0 win away to third placed Wrexham.
The league leaders travelled to the north of the country for arguably their toughest remaining match and took the lead on 21 minutes through a goal from Catherine Walsh. City wrapped up the win on the hour mark when Walsh netted her second, to keep her side six points clear at the top.
Cardiff Met Ladies made sure of keeping up the chase in second place as they defeated Caernarfon Town 6-0. Laura May and Emily Brown ensured that the reigning Champions led by two goals at the break and after Emily Allen had increased their lead six minutes into the second half, May went on to complete a hat-trick and Steph Turner was also on target.
Llanidloes are back up into fourth place, four points behind Wrexham, thanks to a 2-0 success at Llandudno Junction. Steph Hugheson scored a goal in each half to give the Mid-Wales side a result which now guarantees them a top four finish this season.
This was helped by the news that Swansea City had completed their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Newcastle Emlyn. Both of the goals came late in the game, Kirsty O'Donnell putting the Swans in front, a lead they held until two minutes from time when Stacey John earned the visitors a share of the spoils.
