Millwall Lionesses' hopes of landing the Southern Division title were dealt a savage blow as they were beaten 5-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion.
After Kim Stenning and Lily Agg had netted for the Seagulls before half time, second half strikes from Sophie Perry, Charlotte Gurr and Cherelle Khassal carried Brighton towards their best result of the season.
The result means that Reading FC Women, who have a huge advantage in goal difference, require four points from their last three games to be crowned as Champions whilst a victory in their final match is likely to secure a third place finish for Brighton.
Yeovil Town can still take a top three place and kept up that challenge by winning 1-0 away to West Ham Utd. Jade Radburn scored the only goal of the game to see the Somerset side complete a double over the Hammers, who remain one place below them.
Lewes claimed their second win in as many weeks and are up into sixth place following their 1-0 success against Queen's Park Rangers. A first half strike from Charlotte Bennett took the Rookettes out of the bottom two and enhanced their chances of a mid-table finish.
