Sporting Club Albion went third in the Northern Division table with a 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Halesowen.
Becky Hall had an early attempt on goal for Wolves but it was Albion who took the lead on fourteen minutes when Robyn James scored with a spectacular volley which found the top corner.
At the other end, Dani Selmes brought out a good save from Albion goalkeeper Becky Thomas as the home side took their lead into the interval following a tightly contested half.
Wolves started the second half brightly but struggled to create any clear cut opportunities against a well drilled Albion defence, going closest when a strike from Jamillah Palmer was saved by Thomas.
Albion went two ahead just after the hour mark but there was an element of controversy in the build up as Wolves appeals for handball were rejected. Albion broke quickly and a neat move ended with James setting up Ashleigh Neville who gave Natalie Hall no chances with a crisp left foot shot which found the bottom corner.
The goal deflated Wolves and Albion were soon further in front, this time Jamie-Leigh Fowler scoring with a lob over the advancing goalkeeper.
Becky Hall lifted a left foot shot over the bar late on as Wolves sought a consolation but Albion were to have the last say. Minutes after being denied by a good challenge, substitute Kayleigh Griffiths was on hand to slot home the rebound after Natalie Hall had blocked Neville's initial effort.
