Lewes midfielder Naomi Cole wasted no time in giving Lewes the start they wanted when they beat Gillingham 3-0 in their Southern Division match on Wednesday night.
The England Under-23 international put the Sussex side in front after just eight seconds of play - surely one of, if not the, fastest goals in Premier League history. The goal came virtually direct from the kick off and from the halfway line, when she spotted the Gillingham keeper off her line.
Georgia Bridges scored the second goal just before half time and after the break, Kirstie Spice marked her return to the Dripping Pan by heading home to secure a result which takes the Rookettes into a safe mid-table position in their first season in the Premier League.
