Cardiff girls retain trophy - 3 May 2013 - Women's Football News

Cardiff City Ladies Under-16s retained their title as Welsh Junior Champions last Sunday by winning the FA of Wales Junior Cup, beating Mardy Tigers 4-2 in a competitive and entertaining final.
Cardiff City LFC fought back after conceding a goal in the opening minutes, but goals from Courtney Luce and Katy Harris gave the holders a 2-1 lead at half time.
The second half started very much like the first with Mardy scoring an early equaliser. But that seemed to spur Cardiff into serious action. Just when it looked like the two teams were heading for extra time, Cardiff scored two late goals from Georgina Irving and Alice Broadley and to secure the Welsh Cup Junior Champions title.
