Sheffield FC celebrated being crowned as Northern Division Champions following their 2-0 victory away to Leicester City.
Helen Mitchell's side went into the game needing a point to make absolutely sure after having beaten Nottingham Forest last Thursday but it wasn't until the hour mark that they took the lead through Lynn Goodman. Suzanne Davies sewed up the win in injury time with the second, which sees Sheffield win the title in only their second season in the Premier League.
Blackburn Rovers have replaced Nottingham Forest in second place after they defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1. Vicky Westerman opened the scoring for Blackburn just before half time but Wolves hit back and levelled the scores through leading scorer Dani Selmes. Nicky Twohig restored Blackburn's lead from the penalty spot on the hour and Eve Manning netted the third, before Shannon Weston rounded off the scoring late on with a spectacular 30-yard strike.
Preston North End returned from Derby County with a 2-1 win under their belts, the home side's consolation coming from Hannah Baines.
