Everton claim first victory
 Women's Football News 9 May 2013
Lincoln Ladies 0 Everton 2 (Chaplen 23, Parris 89)
Lincoln fell to defeat at the hands of Everton, as the home side finished their run of three games in seven days.
It was Lincoln who started the brightest in the first fifteen minutes. Both Jess Clarke and Precious Hamilton's quick closing down of the Everton defence was causing problems with a number of panicked kicks going out for Lincoln throws.
On seventeen minutes they forced their first real chance of the game. Clarke's pressure had won a corner and when the ball was cleared back to the taker Remi Allen, she curled a cross just inches wide of the post. The cross just needed the faintest of touches from any player and Lincoln would have been ahead.
Against the run of play though, Everton took the lead. Sophie Bradley nodded the ball back to Karen Bardsley, the keeper was put under pressure and had to rush out of goal to clear. The wet conditions were causing problems and the keeper could only clear as far as Brooke Chaplen who, despite giving her shot a lot of height, beat the stranded Bardsley and the ball bounced just over the line and into the roof of the net.
Just after the half hour mark, Lincoln again ventured into the Everton box. Emily Roberts' dangerous cross made it all the way over to Jess Clarke at the back post where she controlled the ball and laid it back to Sophie Walton, but her shot was well blocked from close range.
The second half, blighted by heavy rainfall, was a close encounter and it took until just before the hour mark for either team to have a sight at goal. It was Lincoln again who looked most like scoring, as Jess Clarke cut in from the right hand side and drilled a shop at Elizabeth Durack. The late replacement keeper spilled the shot behind her, but recovered well before the ball crossed the line.
Shortly afterwards Nikita Parris entered the field for the visitors and immediately started causing problems. Just seconds after coming on she was sent free through the middle, but Sophie Bradley recovered well to slide in and clear.
As the game entered the last fifteen minutes Lincoln had a golden opportunity to equalise. Substitute Bonnie Horwood turned brilliantly in the middle to find space, before threading an inch perfect ball to Jess Clarke which sent her clear. The winger raced towards Durack and lifted it over the keeper, but the ball rolled agonisingly past the post.
With just one minute left on the referee's watch Everton secured the win with a second goal. Substitute Nikita Parris sprinted onto SImone Magill's through ball and delicately lifted the ball over Bardsley to secure all three points for the visitors.
Lincoln Ladies: Karen Bardsley, Amy Turner, Martha Harris, Sophie Walton, Sophie Bradley, Casey Stoney, Megan Harris (sub Amy Kay 80mins), Precious Hamilton, Emily Roberts (sub Bonnie Horwood 65mins), Remi Allen, Jess Clarke.

Everton: Elizabeth Durack, Vicky Jones, Alex Greenwood, Amy Kane, Julie Nelson, Lindsay Johnson (sub Simone Magill 45mins), Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah (sub Nikita Parris 61mins), Jill Scott, Toni Duggan (sub Jody Handley 90mins), Michelle Hinnigan, Brooke Chaplen.
