Prudhoe Town rounded off a wonderful season in style when they beat Walbottle 9-0 to clinch the Northumberland County Women's League title.
Having already won the League Cup, as well as reaching the Northumberland County Cup Final where they were beaten by Newcastle Utd Res, Prudhoe needed a win in order to be confirmed as Champions and they led by a Laura Jobson goal at half time.
After the break however, they ran in eight second half goals, Rhiannon Castle scoring twice with one each from Jess Hooper, Ashleigh Rea, Rebecca Caldow, Steph Walker, Catherine Johnston and Kayleigh Arkless.
Manager Nigel Foster is delighted with his team's achievement of winning the league but picked out two cup results as significant ones during the campaign. "We beat both Lowick Utd and Tynedale in the County Cup, both of whom are from higher leagues," he said. "Our best performance was probably away to Lowick when we won 6-1.
"The entire team has made the season a success. They have all worked hard and enjoyed it and we look forward to the new challenge that awaits us in the new league."
Nigel is assisted by coach Phil Loughhead and the team is captained by Steph Walker. Ashleigh Rea was leading scorer with 33 goals, Catherine Johnston added a further 20 whilst Rhiannon Castle and Laura Jobson weighed in with 18 and 16 respectively.
Prudhoe Town squad: Rebecca Foster, Rebecca Caldow, Helen Bambrough, Jenny Wilkin, Amy Tweddle, Steph Walker, Sarah Moore, Ashleigh Rea, Danni Cooper, Jess Hooper, Laura Jobson, Catherine Johnston, Kayleigh Arkless, Rhiannon Castle, Kelly Loughhead, Chantelle Harrison, Natasha Ratcliffe.
