Cardiff City FC defender Lauren Price has been named as the first ever recipient of the Welsh Premier Women's League Player of the Season award.
The 19-year-old played an important role in helping her team win the league title at the first attempt, City finishing ahead of previous Champions Cardiff Met Ladies on goal difference.
The award rounds off a good year for Lauren who is establishing herself as a regular in the Wales senior squad. She is also captain of the Under-19s and could be in line to lead her country in this summer's UEFA Under-19 Championship Finals, the first time that Wales has staged a major European tournament.
Meanwhile the Golden Boot, awarded to the league's top goalscorer, was won by Swansea City striker Sarah Adams who topped the charts with a haul of 24 goals during the campaign.
The accolades mark the end of the first all-Wales season for the WPWL in which the 12 teams all played against each other instead of splitting into Northern and Southern Conferences as in previous seasons.
